Dear members, friends, affiliates and sponsors,

We are absolutely delighted to invite you to meet again in person for the 7th annual EHTG annual meeting in beautiful Vilnius! This year we envisage a very lively program with selected hot controversial topics, debates, new interactive formats and our workshop day with in-depth scientific discussions on dedicated topics. Join us exactly on the same dates as last year from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 2023. The abstract submission is now closed. The process of abstract and speaker selection will be finalized ahead of the summer break. Why not spend some vacation days in beautiful Vilnius ahead or after the meeting? Our 3-star meeting hotel (Panorama Hotel) is located in the old town of Vilnius 1640 feet from the Gate of Dawn. The top floor of the hotel also features a lounge area, where guests can enjoy panoramic views of the city. The historic Gediminas Tower and Town Hall Square can be reached within a 15-minute walk. The bus and train stations are a 3-minute walk away from Hotel Panorama.

Day 1 (Friday) and day 3 (Sunday) will follow the plenary format without parallel sessions. The highest rated abstracts will be allocated to the plenary days and into the working groups. This year, Saturday will be the dedicated working group (WG) day, with three parallel working groups. Additionally, since the EHTG meeting as in Nice in 2018 will be back to back with the ESCP (European Society of Coloproctology ESCP Vilnius 27-29 September 2023 | European Society of Coloproctology) annual meeting.

We envisage bilateral synergistic effects and will host the ESCP-EHTG joint symposium on Thursday Sept. 28 in the afternoon at the ESCP venue. On the workshop day, an additional EHTG-ESCP workshop will take place for clinicians interested in surgical and gastroenterological management of hereditary predisposition syndromes.

After the successful launch last year, we will offer an open platform to patient societies and networking. We wish to promote international collaboration in this field and hope that many patients and patient societies will get in touch and join us in person or virtually in Vilnius. Please contact Gabriele Sponholz for all organizational issues and any of the board members if you have any suggestions.

We are truly excited to see you in Vilnius!

Sincerely,

your EHTG board members
