Prof. Dr. Silvia Stacchiotti is a medical oncologist at the Fondazione IRCCS National Cancer Institute (Milan, Italy), dedicates her career to advancing patient care and research in bone and soft tissue sarcoma, and GIST. As president of the Italian Sarcoma Group, vice-president of Connective Tissue Oncology Society, and secretary of EORTC STBSG, she collaborates to improve sarcoma research and care worldwide. She leads numerous trials and serves on advisory boards for several patient advocacy groups. Her activities are dedicated to improving sarcoma research worldwide. Prof. Stacchiotti is author of >250 publications.
In her lecture this year, Prof. Stacchiotti will talk about treatment options for desmoid tumors, which represent a burning medical issue for patients with FAP syndrome.
